Description
As many as two tree seeds per Caster Level turn into special thrown splash weapons. A Fire Seed has a range increment of 60 feet. A ranged touch attack roll is required to strike the intended target. The seeds are capable of dealing 1d4 points of fire damage per caster level each (maximum 20d4). A creature who suffers a direct hit catches on fire, taking 2d6 points of fire damage every round, until they spend a Full Round Action to extinguish themselves. Each acorn grenade explodes upon striking any hard surface. In addition to its regular fire damage, all creatures adjacent to the explosion take 1 point of fire damage per die of the explosion. This explosion of fire ignites any combustible materials adjacent to the target.
If you ever find yourself up a tree surrounded by goblin-dogs, this is quite effective. Happens more often than you'd expect.
