Shield creates an invisible shield of force that hovers in front of you. You must have an open hand for the Shield to appear in, otherwise the spell fails (however, you may still treat the hand as unoccupied for the purpose of fulfilling Somatic spell components). The Shield negates Magic Missile attacks directed at you. The disk also acts as a Heavy Shield, providing you with up to two Parry actions per round. The shield has no armor check penalty or arcane spell failure chance.
