The Blackmage's Way

Conduit

  • Requirements: CL 1, Knowledge (Arcana) 1, 10 EXP

By spending a Swift Action, you may gain one stack of Conduit. These stacks persist until the character moves, or casts a spell. You may never have more then 20 Conduit Stacks at a time.

Each stack of Conduit allows you to add an additional damage die equal to the number of Conduits stacks expended during casting. This bonus cannot exceed more the double the base spell's damage.

A character may effectively spend two Half Actions and their Swift Action on a given turn to obtain three stacks of Conduit. As noted, you may gather up to 20 stacks of Conduit in this manner.

Centering

  • Requirements: Focus, CL 4, Knowledge (Arcana) 10, Spellcraft 10, 25 EXP

You may spend 5 stacks of Conduit for a stack of Centered. Each stack of Centered lasts until combat ends, or until the character moves more then 5 feet in one round (unless modified by another talent). You may have a maximum number of Centered stacks equal to 1/2 your Caster Level (minimum 1).

When casting a spell, you may expend two stacks of centered and you may increase all damage dealing effects by 50%. This can only be used once per spell per round.

Maximized Centering

  • Requirements: CL 6, Arcana 12, Spellcraft 12, Centering, 30 EXP

When casting a spell, you may expend three stacks of centered and you may increase all damage variables as if they rolled the maximum results. This can only be used once per spell per round.

Rapid Conduit

  • Requirements: CL 4, Arcana 8, Spellcraft 8, Conduit, 15 EXP

You may spend 1 MP to double the number of Conduit stacks gained in one round, spend 4 MP to Triple the number of Conduit stacks gained, or spend 10 MP to quadruple the stack of Conduit stacks gained.


Focused Casting

Focus

  • Requirements: Conduit, CL 4, Knowledge (Arcana) 8, Spellcraft 8, 10 EXP

You now retain Conduit stacks when moving, as long as you do not move more than 5 feet per round of combat.

Improved Focus

  • Requirements: Focus, CL 6, Knowledge (Arcana) 10, Spellcraft 10, 10 EXP

You now retain Conduit and/or Centered stacks when moving, as long as you do not move more than 10 feet per round of combat.

Greater Focus

  • Requirements: Improved Focus, CL 8, Arcana 12, Spellcraft 12, 15 EXP

You now retain Conduit and/or Centered stacks when moving, as long as you do not move more than 15 feet per round of combat.

Ultimate Focus

  • Requirements: Greater Focus, CL 10, Knowledge (Arcana) 15, Spellcraft 15, 20 EXP

You now retain half of your Conduit and/or Centered stacks upon moving more than 15 feet per round of combat, rounded up.


Etheric Manipulation

Ether Recycling

  • Requirements: CL 8, Planes 10, Spellcraft 10, Centering, 20 EXP

When expending Conduit or Centered stacks you may increase the casting time of a spell by 1 Step per 1/2 Conduit stacks and 1 Centering stacks expended in order to recover 50% (round down) stacks spent after the spell is cast successfully.

Etheric Reblancing

  • Requirements: CL 6, Planes 12, Appraise 1, Conduit, 15 EXP

When casting a spell you may Expend and additional stack of Conduit to deal half spell damage but no longer allows for a saving throw. A saving throw is still allowed for any non-damage related effects.

Etheric Payload

  • Requirements: CL 3, Planes 6, Religion 1, Centering, 5 EXP

When casting a spell you may Expend and additional stack of Centering to deal full spell damage to an Ethereal targert.

Etheric Defiance

  • Requirements: CL 8, Planes 12, HD 2, Centering, 15 EXP

When casting a spell you may Expend 3 stacks of Centering to require 2 saving throws against the spell instead of 1.

Etheric Crash

  • Requirements: CL 12, Arcana 15, Spellcraft 15, Planes 10, Maximized Centering, 25 EXP

You may now expend any number of Conduit stacks to make a ranged touch attack (Short range) using CL + Primary casting ability in place of BaB + Dex. The attack deals 1d6 Force damage per Conduit stack expended. Any Centering abilities maybe applied to this attack and have there Centering cost reduced by 1 (min 0).

This counts as a spell. It cannot be countered by any means or parried by any effect.
