Alvion: The White Wastes
The White Wastes extend for miles across Northeastern Alvion. This unforgiving section of the world is effectively inhospitable to normal forms of life, between the complete lack of vegetation or the most durable creatures, to The Whip - an unusually powerful wind that blows across all corners of this endless open space, so strong that it cuts the skin.
