Alvion: Dragonfall Island

Known for one of the highest concentrations of Maj anywhere in Alvion, Dragonfall Island is the grave of the great silver wyrm Ornril, who perished during the battles of the early Third Age. This area is so irradiated with Maj that it glows at night, and is visible on the horizon from miles away. The island itself is mostly covered by Ornril, and those he brought down with him - from his head to the end of his tail marks the edges of the island. To this day, treasure-hunters go here to claim some of his bounty, though few survive the climate. It remains one of the richest sources of precious metals and magical crafting materials in the world. It is common for the elite of Silverpoint to send unfortunate slaves here to die collecting the bounty.
