Mithril is a very rare silvery, glistening metal that is lighter than steel but just as hard. When worked like steel, it becomes a wonderful material from which to create armor, and is occasionally used for other items as well.
Armor made of Mithril receives a +2 increase to its maximum Dexterity bonus, a reduction of -2 to its Armor Check Penalty, it weighs half as much as its normal counterpart, and increases the maximum speed by 10 feet over its normal counterpart.
Weapons made of Mithril act as Silver, and optionally may glow in the presence of a specific type of creature (as Favored Enemies).

As with all listed prices, these costs are the crafting cost in TU. As with most special materials, at least 50% of the crafting cost of Mithril must be of specifically Mithril, rather than generic crafting parts. Mithril is typically an Advanced crafting component.
