-Any character who is capable of casting spells can attempt to counteract a spell being cast by another character. In order to counteract a spell, the character must have a spell or ability that is of the same school as the spell being cast, and must be of equal or higher level than the spell being cast.

-To counterspell, the character must take an [[immediate]] action and make a [[caster level]] check. The DC for the check is equal to 11 + the level of the spell being cast. If the character's caster level check is equal to or higher than the DC, the spell is counteracted and has no effect.
