Search (INT)

Search is similar to Perception but is limited to detail and is not passively rolled. A player has to actively roll a Search and look of a specific area or object.

Common Uses

Search an Area

Searching an area requires a a full round action for a 10ftx10ftx10ft area. This may reveal hidden doors, traps, or other secrets.

Searching a Room

Searching a room may reveal any loot in the room. It takes 15 minutes per room searched. If the area is hazardous you may search at half speed to provide a +10 on survival to avoid hazards.

Structure Rules

Structure Condition:

Loot is based on the search check rolled. Generally it scales 20, 25, 30, 35. Sometimes higher checks provide even more and secret loot. Other times looting is impossible if previous looting has occurred.

Taking 20 on a search check fully loots a room. No additional search checks may be made to acquire loot.
