//The Purity is the result of good magical intentions gone horribly wrong. The few who remember or know of the history predating the Shattering often call it the "Pax Arcanum's last laugh." In the early 300s of the Third Age, a group of well-meaning wizards attempted to end the ceaseless wars and clear the Maj without fully understanding the effects of either one. The result was a purification, but one so robust and so thorough in its definition that few creatures at all fit this criteria. As a result, the perfect angelic beings created from this ritual would cleanse the entire area formerly known as Carthen, eradicating citizens by turning them "perfect" like the beings they made. Today, going to the Purity risks you becoming one of the Purifiers yourself.//
