====== Special Materials ====== Some items, weapons, shields and armor can be made of special materials that give them unique effects. Items can only be made of one type of Special Material. ===== Adamantine ===== **Cost:** 75 TU for Armor, 40 TU for Weapons/Shields Adamantine is nearly indestructible and is prized for its ability to break nearly anything it comes in contact with. When a suit of metal armor is made of Adamantine, it increases the DR to wounds by 5 and provides an additional 10 AP. When a metal weapon is made of Adamantine it ignores any object hardness if it is under 20. Adamantine has a Hardness of 20 and 40 AP per inch of thickness. ===== Mithral ===== **Cost:** 75 TU for Armor, 20 TU for Weapons/Shields Mithral is priced for its incredibly light weight and durability. Half the weight of steel, but with even more toughness. When a suit of metal armor is made of Mithral, it decreases Armor Check Penalty by 1 and increase max Dexterity by 1. In addition the weight is cut in half. When a metal weapon is made of Mithral it counts as being made of silver and its weight is cut in half Mithral has a Hardness of 15 and 30 AP per inch of thickness.
